I set up a new install of v4.0 (my first) and uploaded my existing templates from a 3.1 site.  They show up on the template list but when I click on edit they are blank.  Why is this?

Because v3 templates use the html engine and you probably installed v4 using smarty engine. In this case the templates are not compatible. BS3 templates can work with BS4 only if you select html template engine for BS4 during setp (is an option at the bottom of step2 page)

This sounds like my problem, only I changed the engine to Classic after I uploaded the new template and it is still blank...

Please dont tell me I need to reinstall the lot :confused:
