Just bought a few weeks ago and like the tool.   however, when trying to use a simple RSS feed (see below for an example), the system generates errors.   Any help here?  I want the tool to be valuable!

http://rss.cnn.com/rss/money_pf.rss

When processed through RSSMagician, generate an error:

In Firefox:
XML Parsing Error: no element found
Location: http://www.mydomain.com/r2f/rss.php?source=rss&feed=http://rss.cnn.com/rss/money_pf.rss&rewrite=Sample+Dictionary.csd&sentences=1&words=1
Line Number 1, Column 1:
^a[rel~="nofollow"] {  border: thin dashed firebrick ! important;  background-color: rgb(255, 200, 200) ! important; }

and in IE:

The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

XML document must have a top level element. Error processing resource 'http://www.mydomain.com/r2f/rss.php?source=rss&fee...

Many feeds simply don't work in rssMagician for me.  Others seem to have similar problems.

Here's another example:

Try: http://feeds.raintoday.com/raintoday/IUyr

and get:

XML Parsing Error: no element found
Location: http://www.mydomain.com/r2f/rss.php?source=rss&feed=http%3A%2F%2Ffeeds.raintoday.com%2Fraintoday%2FIUyr
Line Number 1, Column 1:

I'm quite stuck. Posted this a week ago and no response.   Help?

As i can see in feed validator for the two you sent even though they validate they have issues:

"This feed is valid, but interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations."

That means they have elements that conflict with rssm's reader, which is based on magpie. I will need to have a programmer check and see if is something we can fix.

Thank Omar.  What's a reasonable time expectation to hear back from you?

Also:  Any progress on this open issue: http://www.halfagain.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2946

It's a real show-stopper for me!

Thanks again.
