Hello,

I recently purchased Store Stacker, and it seems like a fabulous piece of software.

I have one question. As a person who normally sets up static sites, I normally create links with many different anchor text keywords linking to the different pages. This is not a problem, because those pages never really change.

With a site built with Store Stacker, I would like to use the automatic update feature using cron jobs. If I create deep links to my product pages with product specific anchor text, and then my site is updated, and say that product disappears from my site, that deep link will become invalid. Whats the best way to build links to a dynamic type site like this?

I realize that I could link to my site categories, which woudnt change, but as I said, I would like to link to actual product pages with longtail keywords.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Regards,

You did not mention where you create those deep links, from other sites you own or from same site?

If you want those links to products inside storestacker, i am not sure is needed. There are already links to all products, also a sitemap and so on.

If you want the links created onother sites, that i think may be done, but not so easy probably..

Hello Omar,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, the linking I was referring to would be links from other (outside) websites, such as from article marketing, blog comments, social websites, etc..

I am now thinking that merely linking to the different product categories may be the best route.

Any suggestions would be much welcome.

I think the best way is indeed use category pages. You can also link to tags/search results pages. No matter if some products come or go, the search results pages will be there, and have links to different products.

Hi Omar,

Thanks for the reply. Excellent idea about linking to the search results pages. Am I correct in assuming that the search results pages based on my StoreStacker site will not change (at least concerning linking to them with certain keywords) as long as the same keywords are typed on the search page?

I have noticed Google has been indexing about a full 10 results per day from my site after submitting a full sitemap, and many of these are search result pages based on certain keywords.

If I were to go to my site, and use the search function, then link to that URL that appears, with the proper keywords, would that make sense?

Thanks again...
