1st Question To Omar - In another thread it was said SS sites can not be sold to someone who does not own SS software.  I assume it is ok to sell SS sites to people who do own SS software, right?

The reason I ask is because I know getting SS sites up and running, while easier than doing it other ways, is still time consuming. I mean writing content, doing keyword research, playing with the template, getting everything configured, ext.. can take awhile.

I'm considering offering a service to people who need help with these tasks.

I'm also considering doing all the research and prep work to build some sites, buying a good domain etc., and then I'd like to list those sites for sell (turn key sites) here on the forum if that is not a problem.  Maybe we could even setup a category on the forum to buy/sell sites or just use this one.

I know a lot of people who like to build everything themselves probably would not be interested in this, but some people do not want to do it and may be interested in taking over an existing site to focus on the marketing side instead of the site building side.

Thoughts?

Davey, right on. I just came up here to post a similar thought. I, too, am assuming that sale of a web site to our peers who own the software, is okay. I have spent about 6 weeks in this learning curve, and now have two sites up.

On the 2nd site, I've heavily commented the template pages. And it was VERY quick to put together. I am still working one category: articles.

And everything is working slick, slick! I do admit, as in other threads, to having used workarounds for things that were glitchy. And I added two pages that are hard-coded. One is the actual 'home page,' with SS beginning in the regular 'store' folder. I also admit that this has been like.... obsessive?! So much time has gone into the SS process.

So now I am within a couple of days of having two major things.... a set of commented templates which makes things really simple to put a new site together. And I have site #2 that I am looking to sell.

Omar. Scott. We need some feedback on this issue. Would be highly appreciated Smiley

Oh. and a side note. My previous sites, some as old as 10 years, are pretty well indexed with Google et.al. To my amazement, my SS site #1, as well as a feeble try on another one (not site #2), are both now indexed. This took days, not weeks or months. I am so thrilled! But... another note... I added my own form of meta tags. And Google may be picking up on those connections to my other sites.

What a tangled web the Web is. sigh.

Yes, you are correct. As long as the owner has a license for SS you can do that.

I guess the marketplace would be good enough for now to post site sells, it does not have too many posts anyway. Later I can make separate section and move all there if needed..

Hi,

I am very busy now with a project.  I am wondering if anyone is interested in setting up some stores for me--and what would you charge?

I have PM'd several of you but noone has responded.

Thanks
Yvonne

Same here. I have a number of dot com sites I would like SS installed on. If someone is offering a setup service, I would be interested or more simply, I am willing to pay for a fully commented set of templates as I spent hours the other night trying to figure out where to change CSS etc ...

I will install and configure stores if you provide the category keywords, any top/bottom content, etc..  Right now I will use a default template (free ones) that have been modified for better SEO, in the future I will use more custom templates.

In addition to the details of what you want, you will need to provide me temporary access to the domains Cpanel & ftp, plus your Aff Ids to use.

Pricing will depend on how may categories/sub categories you have plus if you want top/bottom content or other content on the pages. If you want content added you will need to provide it as well.

Basically you tell me what you want, provide the content and keywords, and I will installed, configure, and build the store for you.

Please PM me if you are interested.
