Hello Omar... I indeed have spent many days now, reading most of these forums. And I did see your referenced page, per the .htaccess. However, you and your team know your software inside out, and also the forums and what they contain above and beyond the manuals and videos. We, out here, are new to the scripts. The Search for the forums is not helpful. It brings up what appear to be, totally unrelated postings. Once I'd gotten further with my researching and working the scripts, I remembered the .htaccess posting, but could not find it again.

It has been stated that all these products work in tandem.

The isolated bits of very important information in the forums need to be put with an expanded version of the help docs. Both PDF and video updates.

For BS to REALLY integrate with the other scripts.... you need to have an updated set of Help that will walk the user through all of that. It will cut down the grief out here, and ultimately make your job easier. When people have a real 'blueprint' to follow, they won't have to come to the forums, hoping to find a solution.

And this, with BS integrating with the other scripts, is the CORE of this suite of tools... That all of the suite really does work together. In my HO, a really workable all-in-one user guide, is needed.

The deaded white page strikes again...... this time on a working site after the latest update was carried out to the letter ( binary )

If this site wasn't indexed I wouldn't care so much but after only a few short weeks it's.
#1 in Google for the domain keywords in quotes and
#13 without quotes with 2,630,000 competing sites.

So SS does work really well when used with a good Keyword Rich Domain Cheesy

Now if Omar can just get this site back online before Google notices it's offline I'll be a Happy Camper.

Email sent Omar with login details... hope you can fix this issue quickly for me.

Thanks,

St.

Great Job Omar, thanks for the quick fix.

I actually downloaded the zip file twice to make sure all files were included then when the initial upload didn't work I checked everything out watched the video yet again and uploaded again....... all in all I uploaded the files 3 times but still couldn't get it to work.

I'm just glad you were able to sort it out for me.

Great support as always Cheesy

Thanks,

St.

I have tried with CPanel, CoreFTP and now FileZilla (which lets you specify the format which you upload with).

I get blank pages or "Internet Explorer cannot display this page".

Maybe the instructions need to be expanded?

Does it work with the .htaccess file and just the common folder chmodded to 777 or its contents as well?

Or, as one poster was told, should we leave these alone?

There seems to be a problem unique to this package.

I would appreciate help but I can't see the point to having someone else upload the files which I can see are in place?

Hey Omar,

I tried uploading just the first four main pages of the folder (prior to just a fully upload of everything and then testing) after I uploaded the admin, install, etc. pages I received a blank screen on my homepage of my site.

Tried with FTP and with cPanel, both gave blank pages.

Went back to the my original install file, and re-uploaded the 4 pages I overwrote...site works again.

So my uploading is fine data transfer is fine, is there a chance the pages are bugged?

No chance for such a bug. You may not upload all files required by the new php form the root. So you put the new install.php that now call another file that you need to upload too, but you don't have that so the program can't get that and get a bit broken. You should make sure you upload all the files as described in the Update thread.

In John case for example, even if he uploaded Binary, for some reason he only had 6 files in /common/ folder though normally there are about 10 .php files.

Hrmm nope, still blank.

Uploaded all the files step by step as per the video using FlashFXP with Binary on.

Now once again the site is blank, and restoring it to the previous version will be too complicated.

Any ideas?!!

I was going by the video update tutorial, which said NOT to touch any folders...

might need to update that then.

Omar,

I setup a new store using the latest update.
Everything worked find thru setup of perference then I got 2 problems.

1. The popup for the plugin setup only had the header text and none of the plugin setup information.

2. I closed the plugin setup page and setup a catogory. After closing that I got the dreaded Blank page for everything.

And ideas?

I'm emailing the site details
