I seen many people have adsense issue lately, and is not really related with SST. I have seen similar posts on other forums (last one here http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic102443.html but no reply as i type). I trie to lok around, since google changed the adsense code (is not really same as before) they said it takes some time untill update (around 10 minutes, so adsense bot to index the page).. but looks like takes too much time. Also, i noticed a new unique strig inside the adsense code, like google_ad_slot = "43453464509"; I think that not having this line generated in your adsense account, just keep code we have in the adsense example in Ad Units and only change pub-id is causing the problem. I am not sure, is just a feeling. So, for those that have adsense not display. Please generate the adsense code in your adsense account, and replace all adsense code from Ad Units boxes, not just pub id. Delete all and put yours. Let me know if it works...

Also, i noticed a new unique strig inside the adsense code, like
google_ad_slot = "43453464509"; This is where you colour definitions are set so if you have changed the link colour or text colour that part of the script is telling it where to get it from. As Omar said, get new adsense code to put in your preferences.

Prior to posting the first time that is what I did. It wasn't showing when I changed just my pub id in the code you provided, so I generated my own...same problem. It is now the next day and still it is't showing.

I tried everything I could think of. Finally deleted the subdomain and all folders and reinstalled on a completely different domain. Same hosting account, different domain. I am not sure what the problem is....something with google I would have to think.
Adsense is showing perfectly and I am so happy with the store I am putting together.
Thanks
Gail

Well the store setup doesn't say which adsense code is for which placement ... But when I delete the line it worked...
google_ad_slot = "43453464509";
Is this going to be correct ?

I'd suggest everybody to just generate own adsense code from your adsense control panel and use that. I can't guarantee that clicks will be tracked or adsense will be shown if you leave there the default code. THAT IS JUST AN EXAMPLE so you can see where to add your adsense. Well the store setup doesn't say which adsense code is for which placement ... But when I delete the line it worked...
google_ad_slot = "43453464509";

If you're using the new adsense code, the line: google_ad_slot = "43453464509"; is containing not only the colors, but also you're tracking codes.
If you are using several adsense blocks of the same size (in the sidebar for example two banners 160*600 ) then you have to create two different ads in Adsense. So every adsense block needs a unique google_ad_slot number.
I tried yesterday placing two banners with the same code and everytime only one showed on the page

Gail I am wondering, was the Adsense showing just after the initial install? And, was it not after you entered your code? Maybe it is your code then.. Dunno, could be it.. just trying to help...

The full adsense code needs to be replaced, not just the pub-id

I am thinking that this has something to do with incompatibility within the Google code and the StoreStacker code.
I've been researching and generating content over at GistWeb.com, and have two Google ads on my pages, both of the same ad size. I used the exact same Google code for both. They both show, and they are both different/unique.
However, it took over half an hour for them to show at all!
But I am certain the google_ad_slot number must be there.

There is no incompatinility. It is about wrongly edit adsense code and just replace pub-id. That is not working anymore for the new adssense codes that have a google_ad_slot number. And even so, for the ads to show on a new domain, it takes some time for google media bot to read page and decide what ads to show. They say that takes about 10 minutes, but can be more.

I was having the same "problem", however adding the full adsense code, not just the pub-id, solved the problem.

I have no problems with adsense at all and they are displaying just fine. I have added my adsense code to ad unit 1 and ad unit 2 in preference. I had to add the token to the template to show the adsense at the top of my page, as you can see on my Travel website : http://travel-e-store.com , the side bar was allready set up in the template. I do have one small thing that i just cant get right, and that is he background color. As you can see from my site the background color in the adsense ads is not matching the background color of the template 100%. Could anyone maybe help me with what the correct color code is that i should be using for background color in the default template
