I know this is three feature requests in a row, but the script is so dang close to being EXACTLY perfect for my needs I just can't help myself!  lol.

It would be great if we could choose to have the homepage be a static page we'd inputed instead of products displaying.  In this way, we could write an introduction, include a newsletter squeeze, or point out any latest updates or parts of the site we want to highlight.

Also, if my "blog" idea gets implemented, we could link to most recent blog posts!  Cheesy

****ETA: Also, it would be great if after each option for products to display on the homepage, there was a minimum price we could input so that it would display products that were popular, recently updated, or random - but only if they were listed for above $X.XX.

Thanks!

You can make your home page be whatever you want to be. Just edit the home.tpl file for the template you are using and add/take out anything you like.

No, but I'm talking about the homepage options - where you choose what kind of products to display on the homepage - if there was an additional button to display a static homepage, or to set a minimum price for the different types of display.

I mean, sure, you can always change functions of scripts by hacking pages in the script or templates.  But, for that matter, if you're that comfortable hacking, you might even be able to write a script yourself!  haha.  I was suggesting making it an actual feature.

Well.. i think "hack" is too much to say.. you just need to edit some html page.. the most basic stuff... you will never be able to write your own script if you just know how to edit a html page Smiley

A price filter can be added i guess but i don't really see how just having a button can display a static page. There will also need to exist that static page, and that means you need to make it, in html, so you need to know same basic things to make the static page that you need to edit the template.. i don't really see any benefit here.. just complicating the interface.

I'm just talking about like in wordpress, how you can choose to have it display the most recent blog posts, or you can choose a static page.  It's just a radio button with a drop-down to select the page from pages you've inputed.  It's nothing complicated!

Could easily be a radio button that selects one homepage template over the other.  One template for product and another for text (articles or whatever).
