Like the Tag Clouds used in blogs, like technorati tags, it is composed from most used tags (most used keywords that a LSA engine found in the product descriptions) and links to search page of that word (usinf the internal search module). The intention is to give more links to SE spiders to crawl, links that are relevant to some (supposed) important keywords. The search results pages can be spidered and indexed.. you can find ocassionally many links in google for example that are just results from another SE (usually a small internal SE of some site)

Omar - i am using the Default template and noticed that the tag cloud font is extreme small, apart from the first word it is impossible to make out any of the other words.
I aint a expert but i think i read somewhere that G:eek::eek:gle dont like that and it might be perceived as trying to trick the SERPS by stuffing content with keywords

What u suggest ??

Few words out of a few hundreads in a page i don;t think is something google will think is some trick. The font size is calculated based on tag importance (how many times it shows). If you want to change that, open header.tpl and look for the tags section where u canset any size you want or just remove all.

Hi Omar... just wondering. Is there some way of controlling which words the script ends up using for the tag cloud? On all my sites, as time goes on, it picks up a couple of words in the coding:

BUY

STRONG

lol!! I think this looks pretty cheesy. Is there some way of telling it NOT to use certain words?

Not really. The script LSA engine calculate which words are most used and have those created as tags. You are getting that BUY because it shows in all ebay product description not because they exist in templates.
