I've just installed CS2 with no problems.  All settings appear to be exactly as described in the directions.  But, I can't get any data into it.  No matter what content source I select nothing happens.  I do get the animation showing that a search is taking place but nothing at all appears.

Any ideas?

Harvey

I submitted a question via the help section from CS too.   I'm really hoping for a quick response and solution.

I'd like to have time to give CS a workout during the 2 week trial period to determine whether it'll meet my needs and is worth the investment of time and money.

So, let's hope for a quick solution.

Same thing here. Tried to install on a new domain, but the license is only good for one (WTF, huh?) SO I emailed support, and.....no answer. Way to go guys.

Please respond.

ok guys, here is some public answer.

First, sorry for the delay but most of you emailed during the weekend, when we try, as most of you i guess, to take some time off.

Second, i would appreciate if you do not start more threads about same thing. Is just 3 of you that posted and really no need to do it in separate threads.

Third, this is not really a bug but a host issue. Seems hostgator made some changes, or at least on some servers, because except three of you, i have no one else with a similar issue. Scraping fail because of some host/server restrictions, usually an apache module named mod_security excessively configurated. Whatever it is, it blocks requests which have url in parameters and crash CS with fatal error. I have sent you some patches because is not a regular issue and beside you, everybody else is using the main zip with no problems.

Edit: I attached the patch to this post, for all with the problem.

Hello Omar,

Not sure if you're still monitoring this thread or not. I'm having the same issues with the "hanging content searches". I do not get any results back. The search just sits there and spins.

I may also submit a support ticket on this as well.

Thanks,
Daniel
