installation problems

Hi

i have tried to install CS, but are running into problems at step 2

I have followed all the installation steps.

I have 777 the folders and created the databases and users

here is error:

Failed. I can't communicate with your MySQL server. The following error might help you to solve the problem:
No database selected

Make sure you fill the names for database and username properly. And all the privileges are set. Send me an email with more details if you still can't make it work.

Hi omar

i have double checked details and they are correct.

When i put incorrect mysql logins, it says: Access denied for user

i have put the common and export as 777

uploaded to binary

created a new database and added a user to the new database in mysql

still says no database selected.

is there another way to install.

p.s when i go to the index page, it works ok, but there is no database
